Accessibility is at the heart of who we are. Kayla’s Kafe and Trevor’s Treasures exist to create meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities, and we want this website — like our future storefronts — to welcome everyone.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We review the site as we build it and treat accessibility issues as bugs to be fixed, not suggestions.

What we’ve built in

• A pause control for background motion, and full support for your device’s “reduce motion” preference, which also disables animation and video.
• Keyboard operability with visible focus outlines on every link and control.
• Screen-reader labels throughout, including announcements when a link opens in a new tab and live updates when switching between the Kafe and Treasures previews.
• Text alternatives for decorative imagery and touch targets sized for mobile use.

Known limitations

This is a preview site that leans on large photography and ambient motion for atmosphere. If any part of it gets in your way, the pause button in the top corner stops all background movement, and every piece of information on the page is available as plain text.
